Indian Creek Historical Society
The Indian Creek Historical Society is dedicated to revealing, preserving, and celebrating the agricultural and natural history of the early 20th century of Southwest Iowa.

The Wabash Trace Nature Trail is one of Iowa’s premier trails. Stretching more than 62 miles through southwest Iowa, the Wabash Trace is a converted railroad right-of-way that runs from Council Bluffs on the north to Blanchard on the Iowa/Missouri border.
As Nebraska’s largest and most distinguished art museum, Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha has served as the premier center for visual art since opening in 1931. Joslyn is renowned for its collection of art of the American West, and known worldwide for its collection of Swiss artist Karl Bodmer’s watercolors and prints documenting his 1832–1834 journey to the Missouri River frontier with German Prince Maximilian of Wied.
Railswest Railroad Museum
In this 1899 Rock Island Railroad depot in Council Bluffs, Iowa, has been established a museum dedicated to railroad history—especially relating to the westward expansion of the United States and to the railroad development during the steam era.

Hours – The current hours for RailsWest are Friday and Saturday 10-4 PM and Sunday 1-4 PM. The last tour begins at 3:30.

Strategic Air and Space Museum
1966 – The Strategic Aerospace Museum was officially dedicated in May during Armed Forces Day. Later that year, the State of Nebraska was approached with the idea of making the Museum a state historical park.
1997 – In June, the SR-71 becomes the first airplane to be moved the 36 miles from Bellevue to the new facility in Ashland.
2008 – To date, visitors from all 50 states and 20 foreign countries have visited the Museum. The future of the Museum will offer its ever-increasing number of visitors who seek to learn about math, science, engineering, aviation, and space, a number of traveling and permanent exhibits and educational programs.
2009 – 50th Anniversary of Strategic Air & Space Museum.
